I still got charged 95$ for carpet cleaning..When I rented an apartment in Texas I was not charged for carpet cleaning, it was considered normal wear and tear after 6 months, as long as there were no stains. I now live in Arkansas. Can anyone help me out with what the laws are as a renter?

There was a layer of dried urine(possibly cat spray) about an inch thick, along the wall where the floor and molding meet. I had to pry it up, it was disgusting. I’m wondering how I can clean the floors. The smell is awful. I’ve tried cleaning with regular floor cleaner and also nature’s miracle, which hasn’t helped. If I used a refinisher would that seal the wood and take care of the smell???

We have an active family and live in a rental house. The carpets are getting stained quickly and we need to find a reputable carpet cleaning service that is also affordable. Also, if you have ever had your carpet cleaned please let me know who did it and if it really works on removing tough stains.
I am located in southern us. I was also wondering how long does the carpet stay clean after cleaning if we are really careful on it and do any stains usually come back?
