Derek asked:
I need to clean about 5 litres of blood off my kitchen floor and I don’t want it to show up under a UV light. Is there a chemical I can use that will mask the blood’s trace on the hardwood floor? I don’t want it to mess up the floor either, but if it does I can deal with that.

According to CSI can make the blood untestable.
If you used a gun remember that you still have gunpowder on your hands, and you need to get them clean.
many national parks have no dig ordinates and the police have a hard time getting through lope holes to go dig.
lime as in limestone, eats flesh, even bodies

Blood doesn’t “show up” under UV light, without assistance. Blood actually absorbs UV. It has to be treated with fluorescine to glow under UV.
Luminol makes it glow on its own. A very, very small amount of blood is all that you need for Luminol.
5 LITERS? Hardwood? Wash thoroughly, rinse, repeat about 4 times. Make a 1:10 bleach solution and wash with that, let it soak 20-30 minutes, and rinse a couple of times. No bleach near ammonia based cleaners!
The next day, repeat from wash 1.
On the 3rd day, if you have access to something like luminol, give it a try and see what you get. You can get it is the sporting goods section at Wal Mart, they call it a deer tracker spray. Ask the clerk. All it is luminol in an aerosol can. The room has to be black dark. Spray the floor, and watch for the blue glow. If you get it, there is still blood on the floor. If you see bright white glow, you are seeing the reaction to bleach. All that shows is that you used bleach to clean your floor.

I’d replace the flooring.

Bleach and chemical cleaner on cement and fireproof flooring and then light it so it burns off all cleaner but doesn’t have any blood… I have seen this before… Dont ask how…
