Grout is one of the most difficult things to clean.
I've cleaned my fair share of grout, from bathrooms to kitchens.
I can recommend you a cleaner called Ultra Chem Labs Neutralizer and Ultra Chem Labs Cleaner and Conditioner.
Both these products are commercial and Industrial strength cleaners that are environmentally safer. You can get them at a local janitorial distributor. I believe that the stuff we have access to in the supermarkets just don't work as well and they aren't environmentally safe which means that we, the people that are using them are suffering. A lot of the new technologies in cleaning don't usually filter down to the residential, but stay in the commercial and industrial sector.
If you get the chance, visit this website, and you can download the exact procedure on how to clean grout with those above mentioned products.
let me know how it turns out, I'm sure you'll love it!

It maybe cheaper than you think to just let a professional to come in and clean it. The companies who clean carpet, clean floors, grout etc... it's worth checking out. Or look in the paper for a handyman, they normally have advance equipment for jobs like these.

If the grout is really bad you can use hydrogen peroxide or baking soda. Will take elbow grease to get them clean. The best thing would be a steam cleaner

You can buy tile and grout cleaner at places like Lowe's. They have it in the tile section. If you don't want to purchase something like that, you can use bathtub cleaner. It won't work as well, though.
