I can’t tell if my dog is still peeing on my carpet. The carpet is multi colored and I see shadows but can’t tell if they are urine stains or not. I tried a black light but nothing showed. Is my dog finally useing the doggie door? My little dog went on the old carpet and past away. I then got new carpet and now I can’t tell if my big dog has taken over the little dogs duties. Help!

We just moved into a new house where we only have gravel in the backyard. So of course this is the only place for our 2 dogs to “go potty.” Now that they’ve finally got the hang of going on a big pile or rocks, rather than their usual grass, we have a backyard that wreaks of urine. We just treated the backyard for fleas, so I don’t want to deactivate or decrease the efficiency of the flea treatment…but I do need to get rid of this smell. Any suggestions?

We got a puppy while living in the house we are currently renting, and she peed everywhere, we bought some product that when sprayed on the urine while it was still fresh was supposed to keep the urine from staining the carpet, but it didn’t work. This is specifically for two pet bunnies we have. I have bought a product at the pet store that takes the amonia smell out of the urine, but it is quite expensive. Is there a home remedy–something I can add to their water to deodorize the urine?

we have a nylon based carpet that is new as of December. We have a 9 year old German Shepard with slight incontinence. We need a way to remove urine odor from carpet (safe for dogs and children) and a way to protect from future damage.

My sister is gross. She has a large house, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and it wreaks of urine and feces. She never cleans her cat’s litter box and there is dog feces everywhere. Are there any negative health implications for her being so disgusting???
I could imagine there are a lot of health risks associated with this atmosphere. However, there is no need to list all of them; a few will suffice. Please provide human health risks only.

In my personal opinion, she does take good care of her pets. The dogs get walks at least 5 times a day, fed plenty, and she gives them a lot of attention. They’re just not potty-trained and she cleans it up very infrequently.

Thanks for the advice about me reporting my own sister to the authorities. I’ll go do that right now?

I have hardwood floors…I just pulled the carpet off of them and found several dog urine stains. I have no illusions about re-finishing these floors – im sure they are probably ruined. BUT I would like to get them as clean as possible before putting carpet BACK on top of them. Is there anything I can do to reduce the urine smell of the hardwood?
